Fly away

As usual Fridays and Saturdays prove to be very busy at the salon, which is a a good thing, but allows me little time or energy to draw once I get home.  First amazing thing that happened today was that Mario Batali was in our salon.  My good friend Topher cuts his wife and kids hair, so I suppose Mario was hanging with the family.  Don't worry he didnt get his signature pony tail (with scrunchy) cut.  He was wearing his signature crocs and vest.  I did not however feel the need to be rude and get a picture or talk to him, but I am sure he felt my excited vibes as I thought of all the wonderful things I might say.

On another note, I some how got caught watching the "Secret Millionaire" marathon, and I must say this show makes me want to cry.  I think mostly because the first one I watched the lady was in Knoxville, and it made me think about Jessica being in TN and all my friends and family there that I haven't seen enough in the past year.  Crazy stuff, does make me believe that there are good people in the world doing good things.

On yet another spur of the moment note, something crazy must be going on at the end of my block because there are a bunch of flashing lights and the Police helicopter is hovering over the pool across the street shining its big light.  I'll have to watch the news later and give an update on that one.

I will leave you all with this work in progress that I am doing for a friend.  Its going to be broken up into 5 small pieces to create one large piece.  Sorry about the bad scan quality/  I'll upload a better image when its done.
